MARY proudly presents "Gay Superhuman Playwrights we love: George C. Wolfe"

Director, writer, dramatist, producer and all around superhuman, George C. Wolfe has not only distinguished himself in the arts, but he has made me feel like the most indolent and shiftless homosexual in the known world.

Does this man sleep?

He has directed the Broadway version of Tony Kushner's Angels in America, written over six plays and musicals that have had successful runs on and off Broadway, served as the artistic director and producer for the Public Theater from 1993-2004 , had roles in numerous movies (catch his cameos in “The Devil Wears Prada” and “Garden State”), and currently directs for both TV and film.

Below is a scene from Wolfe's 1986 play "The Colored Museum "
